The Group Ordering function is great for larger pre-planned individual entree scenarios. For example an accounting firm want to let employees order dinner for staying late during tax season. The admin starts a group order for tomorrow evening, chooses a restaurant, delivery time, cut off time, and per person spend amount. The system invites all employees selected to add their food selection. When the cut-off time is reached, the system assembles the entire order and sends it to our dispatch system. The restaurant will make a bag for each person labeled with their name (due to new state law there could be a 10 cent bag charge if they use plastic). Our mobile waiter brings it to your location in thermal bags, sets-it up in alphabetical order and can provide utensils packs if requested.
The first step to group ordering is to set up an account. Call us at 860-673-3463 and we will walk you through it.
How to Set Up Group Ordering
You as the admin can create an account (if you do not already have one) or log in at www.dineinct.com.
After logging in, click on the "Office Orders" tab. Here you can set up a group order to be delivered from one or two restaurants at a given time to your office. You are able to create an email list to include each of your colleagues that you would like to invite to order. You can invite "ALL" or Part of the email list to participate in any group order.
After creating your list, click on the "Start Order" button. Choose the date and time you would like to send the invitations to order and the time of the actual delivery.
Select the restaurant you would like to order from. Then choose the cut-off time (we notify the restaurant that they will be receiving a group order in the morning for lunch delivery - the preferred cut-off is 10AM)
You can pay for the entire order or choose the amount each employee is able to spend. You can allow them to spend more if they put it on their own card. Gratuity can also be added at this time.
Choose a payment method. (If you would like to pay with a business check please select CASH and let us know in the special instructions.)
Review the order details, you can go back and make changes if necessary. When you are ready "Finalize" the order.

For larger groups from 10 to 300, let us help to construct the perfect dining experience. From wrap platters to full blown buffets, we can get any type of food you are looking for. Dine In Connecticut will order for you, manage the restaurant, pick-up the food and deliver it, set-up the buffet using racks, soup warmers, or whatever the events calls for, bring plates, utensils, serving utensils, napkins or whatever else is needed. We even clean up and bring you to go containers for leftovers.
